Credit Guidelines

Following the USBE guidelines, students at Kings Peak High School will be able to graduate with 24 credits.

English Language Arts - 4.0 Credits
Language Arts 9
Language Arts 10
Language Arts 11
Language Arts 12
Mathematics - 3.0 Credits
2.0 Foundation/Core credits
1.0 Additional Foundation/Core or Advanced Applied, or Foundation (AAF) Credit
Science - 3.0 Credits
2.0 credits from 2 Foundation/Core areas; Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
1. Additional Foundation/Core or Advanced Applied, or Foundation (AAF) credit




Social Studies - 3.5 Credits
1.0 World Geography
1.0 World History
1.0 US History
0.5 US Government and Citizenship

In addition to the credit requirements, students must pass a U.S. Civics Test (normally taken in 8th grade). If students do not pass the first time, they may retake the test as many times as needed to pass the test.
